The Houston Collective
Fridays at Noon on KPFT 90.1FM
The Houston Collective is a radio show on KPFT 90.1 FM that showcases Houston's vibrant creative community. Airing every Friday at noon, it features performances, interviews, and artist showcases from musicians, poets, and creatives, both local and visiting. The show combines two segments: The Long River Sessions, highlighting full bands, solo acts, and spoken word artists, and KPFT Sessions, featuring acoustic sets from solo artists and duos.
Each segment is filmed in unique settings to best showcase the talent. Community Cultivation Network (CCN) hosts spoken word and solo/duo acts, KPFT Sessions capture raw acoustic performances at the radio station, and full bands perform at 1810 Ojeman, offering a dynamic stage for live band energy.
More than just a radio show, The Houston Collective provides exclusive content on YouTube, including behind-the-scenes footage and extended interviews, exploring the stories of the artists and the people behind the scenes. Our mission is to showcase the creativity that drives Houston’s artistic culture. Tune in, hear it, see it, and live it—The Houston Collective is your gateway to Houston’s thriving creative scene.
